Many organisations know what they want to achieve but struggle to turn ambition into disciplined execution. Priorities compete, leadership capacity is stretched, data is underused, and people, processes, technology and governance do not evolve at the same pace. These challenges are especially visible in scale-ups, where the systems and behaviours that supported early growth may no longer be sufficient for the next stage.
As CEO and Founder of Velox Consilium Ltd, I work with founders, boards, investors, executives and leadership teams to strengthen capability, improve commercial and operational performance, and translate strategy into measurable delivery.
My expertise spans business analysis, service transformation, commercial growth, data and analytics, AI, organisational change, leadership development, coaching, governance and strategic implementation. I help organisations identify the constraints limiting progress and create credible routes from strategy to execution.
For scale-ups, this often means moving from entrepreneurial momentum to a more repeatable, resilient and investable operating model. Rapid growth can expose weaknesses in decision-making, accountability, management information, customer delivery, cashflow visibility, leadership capacity and internal controls. My role is to address those weaknesses without losing the agility and customer focus that drove the business forward.
Through Velox Consilium, I help scale-ups:
• clarify their business model, market position and proposition;
• turn growth ambitions into a structured commercial roadmap;
• strengthen routes to market, partnerships, pricing and customer acquisition;
• design scalable processes, roles, responsibilities and governance;
• improve operational readiness, delivery capacity and management information;
• develop KPIs, forecasts and dashboards showing traction, risk and performance;
• reduce overdependence on founders or key individuals;
• strengthen leadership, accountability and decision-making;
• prepare for investment, due diligence, market entry or acquisition; and
• identify practical uses for AI, automation and digital transformation.
I am particularly interested in the transition from founder-led to leadership-enabled growth. Founders often remain central to customer relationships, commercial decisions, recruitment and delivery. While this can accelerate early progress, it can also create bottlenecks and risk. I help leadership teams build the structures, information and confidence needed to distribute responsibility without losing strategic coherence.
Data is central to my approach. Used well, it strengthens leadership judgement, reveals patterns, tests assumptions, improves forecasting and supports better resource allocation. For scale-ups, this often means moving beyond fragmented spreadsheets and anecdotal reporting towards a focused set of commercial, operational, customer and financial measures that improve decision-making.
